Jeff and Stacy | Seattle Wedding Photography

One of the reasons I love a word of mouth business is that our awesome clients suggest us to the awesome people that they know and the run goes on.  One of the other great ways people find us is by knowing us:-).  Yep, so my math tells me that we are awesome (you can check my work, it might be off).  I met Jeff in high school and I’m so glad.  He is a great guy and now we were able to re-connect for his and Stacy’s wedding.  Sa-weet!  I could go on about how awesome their wedding day was, but since pictures are worth a 1,000 words?  I’ll let them tell the story!!

They are huge Seahawk (and Sounders) fans, so obviously the Seahawk garter was appropriate.

Loved the amazing rainy day north light for their first look.

Jeff might be glad we aren’t videographers:-).  But the four of us enjoyed his singing.

A favorite from their day!

Stacy, you were stunning… and a lot of fun!!

Love this!

Grandma enjoying the slideshow

Herban Feast was amazing!!

Thanks for giving me a shoulder to lean on Dan!

All the goodies for the ice cream bar!

Dani was amazing and was really vital in seeing that the day came together so Stacy and Jeff didn’t need to think about it!

Jeff gave the guys a little incentive when he tossed the garter wrapped around a football.  Good call.

Congratulations to you both.  Thanks for allowing us the opportunity  to capture this day for you and all the best in the future!!

Stephanie + Tim | Issaquah Wedding Photography

Alright, so here is a throwback for ya.  Stephanie had the privilege… err, the adventure of assisting me at my very first wedding I photographed.  To give some perspective, on where we’ve come from.  We shot with a Canon Rebel2000 (film camera), rented lenses from Glazers and borrowed lights from my uncle… and I had hair, yep I indeed used to be able to grow hair on my head.  If it weren’t for Stephanie, I wouldn’t have even gotten to the wedding because I got in a pretty bad car accident on the way and she came and picked me up.  Just think, if it weren’t for her, that very first wedding wouldn’t have been nearly as awesome and Evantide may never have existed.  So who would have photographed her wedding then?:-)  See it all comes full circle.

Meg and I were so thrilled when Stephanie and Tim got in touch with us about their big day.  First, excited for them to continue on this journey together and second, that they trusted us to capture it for them.  It was an awesome winter day in the northwest.  The rain kind of held off when it was supposed, but showed up just enough to keep us on our toes.  This was the wedding you didn’t want to miss if you wanted your cheeks to hurt from smiling a lot and to really fulfill your sweet tooth from an amazing candy bar.  Congrats to you both and all the best in the futre!!

Stephanie, you looked amazing!!

Seriously, even now… this makes me smile!

Way to pick ridiculously cute kids to be involved in your day as well:-).

Sounds like it’s her fault they are all hitched now!

It’s how they rolled.

Pickering was a beautiful and romantic spot these to wed.

She’s one smart grandma.  She told Meg she was having a boy.  And the next week, we found out we are having a boy.  She is good and a really great dancer!

Grandpa getting some late night cuddling.  All the youngins’ did amazing.

And they are off!  Congrats to you both, it was an honor to be a part of your day!

Carly and Joe Married

Our New Years Eve was so ridiculous in the most amazing sense!  Carly is really one my coolest old friends and Joe is one of my coolest new friends.  For some context, I’ve known Carly for many years including a lot of good times working at the Starbucks together.  As a matter of fact Carly actually sang at Meg and I’s wedding for our first dance.  She holds a special place in our heart!  Okay, less us and more them:-).  I feel like Carly and Joe’s wedding was the perfect balance of chic romance and crazy party (those of you that were there, am I right or am I right?).  I feel like you can’t really separate the ceremony from the reception too much.  The guests were able to sit at their tables and comfortably enjoy the beautiful and romantic ceremony and transition easily into the Market style reception.  Not only was it held at the Market but it was also set up so that each aspect and detail about the reception felt like you were at a market with different vendors.  So cool!  Alright, less words more photos… Enjoy!

Recipe for Success:

Venue – Depot Market Square

Caterer – Sandwich Odyssey

DJ – Audio Innovations

Hair and Makeup – Tart Beauty

Gown – Benita’s

Oysters – Taylor Shellfish Farms

Dessert Table – Friends and family shared favorite desserts and the guests favors were a small cookbook of the recipes for those very desserts.  Awesome and genius!

Photography – Evantide Photography:-)

Carly, you looked amazing!!

Joe was so nervous excited.  I think he just wanted to be together so they could enjoy the day together.

I really like the in between times.

Yep, they were shucking on site.  so fun.

One of my faves.  In the midst of the party, still newly weds.  Good times.

June 2008, Carly and Roebi made a deal… on a napkin.

Audio Innovations kept the party going!

They sent off a lantern to ring in the new year with well wishes and wisdom from their closest friends and family.

We love you guys!!  Congrats and thanks for letting us be a part of it all:-).

Heather + Frazier | Engagement Session

Our little family can’t wait for this wedding!!  Meg and I have been neighbors with for five years (and by neighbors we’re close, we share a wall:-).  We like them a lot but Grant… Heather is one of his all time favorite people, Shady is his favorite part time dog (we get to hang out with him often) and Frazier just makes Grant very happy!  As a matter of fact, Grant has the honor of being in the wedding (he is more than giddy).  Yay!!  Okay, now to my role.  I’m so excited to be able to capture their day for them.  Heather and Frazier thanks so much for trusting us to help make your wedding cute and to capture your day for you as well:-).  Enjoy!

It’s a family photo… ‘hey guys, what are you doing?  I’m down here… guys?’

We have good looking couples and we live in a really beautiful place!!

Shoot, we forgot the pitchforks.

Ahh, Frazier was cold.

Ridiculously good looking!!

I think I had said ‘Hey, do you want to do a piggy back picture’ and Frazier quickly said ‘Sure!!’

Rachael and Seth Downtown Engagement Sesh

Rachael and Seth’s wedding is coming up quick!  We’re getting pretty stoked.  They are getting married in Sumas and then heading to  Shuksan Golf Course for their reception.  For this shoot we wanted to do something a little different than the wedding day.  What better way than taking to the streets of Bellingham?:-)  We always love the time we take during these photo sessions to get to know our clients better and to see what we can get away with during photos, ha!!  Rachael and Seth were so game with any of our ideas and we can’t wait to see what their wedding has in store!

If only they had cooler blue eyes:-).

It’s amazing how comfortable people get as soon as they see the camera go down.  But, ha, we caught you guys being real cute.

And who doesn’t want a photo with a local orca?
