I had a blast doing photos for Caleb.  As you can tell from the photos, it wasn’t too tough.  You’ll also notice Caleb’s pride when it comes to his basketball background.  His Squalicum Storm team won state this last year and has had a pretty amazing run these last couple of years.  So we definitely had a good time featuring that a bit.  Congratulations Caleb on your upcoming graduation and enjoy this preview of your images!

It’s amazing how time flies when you’re having fun.  I can’t believe it’s been 6 months with Grant around already.  Yesterday, we celebrated by giving him ‘solid food’ for the first time.  As solid as rice cereal and milk can be.  He loved it and was certainly wearing it more than he was eating it, but it was fun none the less.

He’s so excited that he’s drooling (or he just drools all the time, whatever)

He was having no part in Momma taking the spoon out of his mouth.

Any concerns about him not enjoying himself were soon gone:-).

He even got tired of us serving him.  So independent already, yikes.  Happy Half Birthday Lil Dude!

It seems like a strange way for things to happen, but Meg, Grant and I met up with Rikki (one of Meg’s co-workers) for a maternity shoot.  Well the odd part is that we knew full well that she was going to be having  this lil fella in two days.  I guess that means we knew how much time we had:).  Rikki was a total trooper and let us take her out into the county for some fun photos.  Congratulations Rikki & Todd and welcome to the world Colt!  Enjoy.

Yep, that’s the army crawl.  Because the ‘army crawl’ is the new ‘walking’.  And she had no clue I was approaching because I stayed low:-).

Grant has issues with not being the center of attention so he army crawled over to Rikki.  And of course to say hi to Colt, his new buddy.

I’ve been having a blast trying new things with light.  Whether it’s ambient or not.  Here is ambient -

I find that focusing on the client can be totally over-rated.

I am amazed by Meg and how she is developing as a photographer.  It’s fun to watch her break away from what I do and really create her own style and niche.  That’s my wife!

Like the Stotts, I’ve been doing photos for Kevin as far back as when we were roommates in college, to wedding photos and now into his growing families photos.  It was so great to see you guys and reconnect.  Congratulations to you as you welcome the next little Mondau into the world:-).  Enjoy.

It was a beautiful almost fall day in Sumner for Danielle and Don’s wedding.  The wedding was held at Laurel Creek Manor, which is a beautiful place for a wedding.  Don and Danielle, I’m going to let your photos speak, so – congratulations and best wishes for your future!  Enjoy.

I need to start by talking about how amazing Allison is.  She was hosting and taking part in one of the most amazing and beautiful days of her life…  while recovering from surgery to repair her shattered ankle.  Yeah, and she was awesome!  And at the same time we’re just glad Brent could enjoy his day with his mild cold:-).  It was fun to see the creative ways Allison and Brent worked around any problems with mobility and the day went off without a hitch.  Allison – you were a beautiful bride and Brent – you were a stellar groom.  Congratulations to you two on your marriage!  Enjoy.

Meg and I had a blast doing photos for Stef, Rigel and family this last week.  We reconnected with them when we ran into them at the Bellingham Farmers Market.  Rigel is a great potter as you’ll see later in the post.  We love the work he did for us.  You guys were awesome for the shoot and it was great to get together.  Enjoy this sneak peak!

We are heading full steam into this fall’s senior photos.  If you know of anyone that may need them definitely let them know about us:-).  Becca was a great start to the season.  We could totally relate to each other has band peops.  It was fun to see how Becca put her own personal touches on the shoot and it really ended up showing a lot of her personality.  Congrats Becca on your upcoming Senior year and enjoy this sneak peak!
