The Chute’s | Bellingham Family Photographer

We can’t rave enough about how cool Harvey is!  I know that it is not gramattically correct to end a sentence with ‘is’, but this is our blog!  So we’re rolling with it!!  Harvey came to us in December wanting to purchase a gift certificate for his wife for Christmas!  Yes! We’re all in for that!!  He later explained how he and his wife, Carrie, were gifting each other a different ‘event’ or ‘adventure’ for each month of 2012!  And Evantide Photography was lucky enough to make the list of fun adventures for them!

We had such a fun time hanging out at their house and grabbing some images for them!!

Thank you to Harvey and Carrie for having us!  We truly appreciate you and your family!  Best wishes to you!

Enjoy!

Dad and his daughter’s!  I love the love in this image!

Proof!! Harvey is a funny guy!!!

Directions: Get really, really close to Carrie!!  Surprise!!

I want a photo of Aaron and I like this!

Beautiful ladies!!

Please feel free to leave love notes for the Chute family!!!

Happy Valentines Day! | A Snowy Waterfront Wedding

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!  No better day to share these intimate little snowy day nuptials with you all!!  It was not only a privilege to photograph this images for Karin and Gordon but it was also an honor to be a part of this small ceremony.  Hotel Bellwether was a great host with the ceremony being up in the top of the lighthouse. The views of the water and snowy islands were an amazing complimentary view while they exchanged vows!!

I know Karin had imagined this dress for a warmer day but she absolutely worked it in the snow!

I hope everyone has a great Valentines Day.  Now go call someone you love and tell them that you love them:-).

Sister Get Together | Ka’anapali Family Photography

Meg here:-) Just getting back from Maui where we had such an amazing opportunity to meet and shoot these gorgeous sisters!!  With every event that we are hired to capture, it really is such an honor and privilege!!   They definitely made our job ridiculously easy:-).  These beautiful sisters in this beautiful setting, seriously?  They stayed at the Aston Ka’anapali Shores Resort so we were able to hang out there and then we just headed straight down to the beach for some shots with the sunset.

I’ve never had a sister – but these gals made me want one!!!  Nicole, your daughters amazing, way to go!!

I think this is where we asked for the ‘J Crew’ look, nailed it!!

There were the hunters and the hunted in this themed portion of the shoot, hilarious!

Aaron’s pretty dang proud of me for this fashionista beach shot.

Random guy Nicolette found on the beach!  Just kidding – it’s her boyfriend!  Hi Nate!

Thanks ladies, for being amazing!!  Let’s do it again next year:-).

Aaron and Meg — These photos are wonderful! You did a great job.
I had so much fun watching and being part of it. Thanks again – Nicole

PS The first time I looked at the photos there was music with it that I really liked. It appeared like you did a photo shoot of the musicians. Who were they and what happened to the music?

Grants, Golf Lessons and Maui’s Finest!!

On our recent trip to Maui (above).  We happened to be there at the same time  as the PGA’s kick off tournament, The Tournament of Champions.  Well we weren’t comfortable taking Grant to the official event but we decided to trek up the Kapalua’s Plantation course for the Pro-Am event.  We saw a couple of golfers and a little bit of the event, but that wasn’t the highlight.  The highlight was meeting David Havens.  David is one of the pros at Ka’anapali Kai and more importantly he started a cool program called ‘Spare for Change‘.  In the fan zone at the event, there were a couple different little area’s where all three of us could try out our golf swings, putting and even get a photo taken with a trophy.  Golf Pro David was manning the area where you could try out your chipping prowess.  We rolled up with Grant and he looked a little disappointed that he didn’t have any toddler size clubs.  So he gave him a quick little lesson with the smallest club he had and then after asking if Grant had his own clubs offered this, ‘hey if you swing by the Ka’anapali, I can set you up with a couple of his very own clubs’.  How cool is that?  So when we arrived, David set him up with a toddler sized putter and some balls and sent us up to the practice green while he made another club for him.  He met up with us handed Grant his own ‘grant sized’ Callaway Big Bertha and sent us off to the driving range to hit a bucket of balls on him.  David was so generous and really made a memorable impact on Grant.  Thanks David and all the best in your venture to put clubs and the game of golf in the hands of those that can’t otherwise have access to the game.  You are awesome!!

Grant getting some pointers from David.

Grant giving it a whirl!

Us at the first, what a view, eh?

Grant giving his new driver a swing!  One of my most treasured gifts from my late grandpa is a Big Bertha golf club and I thought it was pretty neat that one of Grants first golf clubs was a Big Bertha as well!

I am seriously one proud papa!!

Both Grant and Hawaii, you are correct and I totally agree. We really want to be back there right now, actually:-).

Warm fuzzy feelings. I guess Hawaii and Grant does that to a person.

Dana Little | Live at the Evantide Gallery

Meg and I had  the privilege of hosting the amazingly talented Dana Little and a couple of her equally talented friends.  Dana and I had been chatting for months about the possibility of her being able to share her music at our gallery.  It was a couple weeks before Christmas so she shared some Christmas music mixed with songs from her album ‘Patterns’.  Thanks Dana for joining us and for those that came, we hope you enjoyed and thanks for coming.  If you weren’t able to make it, we may be in the works for another show to happen soon:-).  Enjoy the images from the evening.

Thanks mom for coming and being Grants date for the weekend!

You can leave comments below:-).
